Roulette 1st and 3rd Column Strategy

Roulette 1st and 3rd Column Strategy

Roulette is not only an undeniable casino staple, but it is also one of the casino games that players have come up with many strategies for.

Whether you are a seasoned player or a roulette novice, you can use these strategies if you so choose. One of these strategies is the Dozens and Columns strategy.

In this blog post, we will focus on the 1st and 3rd Column strategy, explaining what it is and looking at whether it works. So, if you want to know whether or not there are any strategies that can help you win in roulette, continue reading this post.

What Is The 1st and 3rd Column Strategy In Roulette?

Before we can explain the 1st and 3rd Column strategy, we will first explain what a Column bet is. A Column bet is one of the outside bets that you can place in the game of roulette.

The layout displaying the roulette numbers (1 to 36) has 3 boxes at the end denoting the 3 lengthway columns. The 1st column makes up the numbers 1, 4, 7, 10, 13, 16, 19, 22, 25, 28, 31, 34. The 2nd column is made of 2, 5, 8, 11, 14, 17, 20, 23, 26, 29, 32, 35 and the 3rd is made of 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30, 33, 36.

Using the 1st and 3rd Column strategy means placing your bets on the numbers that make up the first and the third column. The potential payouts of Column bets are 2:1. So, if you make a bet of £1 and it wins, your payout would be £2.

Does The 1st and 3rd Column Strategy Work?

The 1st and 3rd column strategy does not necessarily work in that it does not ensure wins or increase your chances of winning. Like all betting strategies in roulette, there is no guarantee of winning because these strategies do not change the odds or influence the results of a game.

However, they can give some players a structure for playing their bets, so rather than playing the game blindly/betting randomly, utilising these strategies may help give them some sense of organisation. However, it is essential to understand that roulette, like all casino games, is a game of chance, and the results are random and unpredictable. The strategies do not change the chances of an outcome occurring.

That means, regardless of the betting system you use, you may still be met with losing streaks.

Is There Any Roulette System That Works?

Online roulette games are created with Random Number Generator (RNG) software. This system ensures that the results of each spin of the wheel are random and not influenced by any external events, including betting systems.

In an in-person game of roulette that uses a real wheel and ball, there is natural entropy, meaning there are too many variables at play that affect the outcome in order for the game to be predictable or rigged. No roulette system can account for this either.

So, we can conclude that there is no roulette system that works and result in consistent wins. While several systems have been produced over the years, such as the Martingale system, that supposedly aids in “beating” the system, they do not work in practice.

All online slots and casino games are created with a house edge, a built-in system that gives the casinos an indisputable advantage over the players. Simply put, the casino always wins in the long run, regardless of the betting system. Additionally, your bankroll and maximum betting limits come into effect and further limit the effectiveness of strategies.

Summary

In summary, the 1st and 3rd column roulette strategy is another betting strategy available to roulette players that they can use. It falls under the umbrella of the Dozens and Columns strategy.

While this strategy can introduce a structure for your betting, it does not affect the chances of winning, and it certainly doesn’t offer guaranteed wins. In casino games, the house always wins in the long run, no matter the strategy used. So, please gamble responsibly and do not chase your losses.
