Can You Bet on 0 In Roulette & When Should You Do It?

Can You Bet on 0 In Roulette & When Should You Do It?

There are many different ways you can make a bet in roulette. You can bet on any number on the roulette wheel, including 0 and 00. But how and when should you do it? Find out by reading our Roulette Online blog post below.

Can You Bet On Zero In Roulette?

You can bet on all numbers in roulette, including zero. This applies to all roulette games. However, in American roulette, you have a chance to bet on double zero, as well as zero.

The 0 in roulette is what makes each variation of roulette different. European roulette has one 0 pocket, and the 0 is located between the black 26 and the red 32 on the roulette wheel. American roulette has two 0 pockets (the 0 and 00). You can find the 0 between the black 2 and black 26 on the American roulette wheel. You can find the 00 between the red 1 and red 27.

How Much Is 0 Worth In Roulette?

How often the zero lands on the roulette wheel depends on the number of zeros the roulette wheel has. Depending on which game of roulette you are playing, there are either 37 or 38 places for the ball to land.

The zero pocket in roulette is the same as every other numbered pocket. So, the chance of landing 0 is the same as it is for any single-number bet. The chance of hitting 0 in European roulette is 2.7%, and the chance of hitting a zero in American roulette is 5.26%.

If you win a straight up bet on 0 playing roulette, you win 35x your bet. If you bet on both zeroes in American roulette as a split bet, and it wins, then you receive 17x your stake.

Is Roulette Zero Odd or Even?

The zero and double zero are the only numbers on the roulette wheel that are green. All the other numbers are either red or black. The zero and double zero are also not regarded as either odd or even and, therefore, count as a loss whether you bet on evens or odds.

Should You Always Bet On 0 In Roulette?

Whether you bet on 0 in roulette or not is entirely your decision. If betting on 0 or 00 appeals to you, go for it. It’s the same as placing a straight up bet on any other number on the roulette wheel.

The important thing to remember is that in the end, the house always wins because of the house edge. The house edge in roulette refers to the portion of your bet that you are likely to lose to the house on average with each spin of the roulette wheel. The house edge for American roulette is 5.26%, while the house edge for European roulette is 2.70%.

European roulette is the preferred roulette game of choice for many players due to its lower house edge.

How Do You Bet on 0 and 00 In Roulette?

Making a bet on 0 and 00 in roulette is done in the same way as betting on any other number. Simply place a straight up bet on 0 or 00 by placing a chip on either on the layout. If you bet on either zero or double zero, the payout is 35:1.

You can also place a split bet covering both 0 and 00 in American roulette by placing the chip(s) on the line separating the 0 and 00 grids.
